Buffer overflow in Schneider Electric PowerLogic P3 Protection Relays before 30.205 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted GOOSE packets. The GOOSE packet-handling path copies attacker-controlled network data without checking the destination buffer size, allowing memory corruption. Unauthenticated access to the relay's IEC 61850 network is required; exploitation can crash its program or execute code, disrupting protection and GOOSE tripping.
