CVE-2022-22688Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via File service injection

Published Mar 25, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Command injection in Synology DiskStation Manager before 6.2.4-25556-2 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The vulnerable File service fails to neutralize command-special elements in untrusted input, but Synology has not disclosed the affected request, parameter, or code path. A valid DSM account and network access to the File service are required; successful exploitation runs commands with the service privileges.
