Classic buffer overflow in Synology DiskStation Manager before 6.2.3-25426-3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The authentication functionality copies attacker-controlled input into a destination buffer without checking that the input fits, but Synology has not disclosed the affected routine or request field. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation executes code in the affected authentication process's context.
