Administrator code execution via unfiltered ZIP extraction
Published Jul 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in WP All Import before 3.6.8 allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to execute PHP code. The New Import upload path accepts any ZIP archive, extracts every member without checking its type, and leaves uploaded PHP beneath the web-accessible wpallimport uploads directory. Administrator access and a crafted archive containing valid XML are required; requesting the extracted PHP file executes attacker-supplied code on the WordPress server.
