CVE-2022-22652

Carrier account disclosure and modification via lock-screen panel

Published Mar 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Missing authentication in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 15.4 allows physically proximate attackers to view and modify carrier account data. The Cellular component exposes the GSMA authentication panel on the lock screen and accepts interaction without first requiring device unlock. Physical possession of a locked supported device is required; the exposed panel permits carrier account information and settings to be read or changed.
