Out-of-bounds read in AppleScript on Apple macOS allows local users to disclose process memory or crash an application via a crafted SCPT file. AppleScript framework parsing of crafted data reads past the end of an allocated data structure because the SCPT structure is not adequately bounds-checked. Exploitation requires the target to open the malicious file or visit content that processes it; the flaw alone provides disclosure or termination, not code execution.
