Arbitrary code execution via WebKit use-after-free
Published Mar 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in WebKit in affected Apple operating systems allows remote attackers to execute code via maliciously crafted web content. WebKit accesses an object after its memory has been freed, but Apple has not disclosed the affected function, object type, or lifetime error. Exploitation requires a user or application to process attacker-controlled web content and results in code execution within the WebKit process context.
