CVE-2022-22551

Session hijacking via sensitive GET query strings

Published Jan 21, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Sensitive data exposure in Dell EMC AppSync 3.9 through 4.3 allows attackers to hijack user sessions from an adjacent network. The web interface places sensitive session values in GET request query strings, where URLs expose them to an observer on the same network. No authentication or user interaction is required, but access from an adjacent network is necessary; a captured session permits actions as the victim.
