Administrator code execution via Diagnostics Agent tools
Published Feb 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Solution Manager Diagnostics Root Cause Analysis Tools version 720 allows remote authenticated administrators to execute code and browse files on connected Diagnostics Agents. The OS Command Console and File System Browser expose command execution and file access without segregation of duties between administration and diagnostics operations. An administrator-level attacker can control managed systems, disclose sensitive information, alter integrity, or interrupt service; SAP removed these tools in later 7.2 support documentation.
