Process crash via malformed Passport data
Published Feb 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper input validation in affected SAP NetWeaver and ABAP Platform kernels allows remote attackers to crash a Web Dispatcher or work process. The kernel does not sufficiently validate malformed SAP Passport information before processing it, causing the receiving process to break down. No authentication is required; the failed process can restart immediately, and other processes remain unaffected.
