Uncontrolled search path element in SAP SE SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise 16.0 allows local users to execute malicious Windows binaries via the system PATH. The Windows installer adds an ASE-related directory to the system PATH without preventing a standard user from placing a malicious binary earlier in search resolution. Exploitation requires local standard-user access on Windows and can result in privilege escalation; other ASE binaries are not affected.
