Buffer over-read in affected CODESYS runtimes allows remote attackers to crash the web server task via crafted HTTP or HTTPS requests. The optional CmpWebServer component reads beyond an internal buffer while processing a specifically crafted request; CODESYS has not disclosed the responsible function or field. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is limited to interruption of the runtime's web server task.
