Untrusted pointer dereference in CODESYS V3 communication servers allows remote attackers to crash products via crafted requests. CmpTraceMgr reads from or writes to a pointer supplied in the request, causing uncontrolled local memory overwrites or invalid-memory access. Requests are processed after successful authentication or when online user management is inactive; attackers cannot choose written values or retrieve read values.
