Authenticated service crash via null pointer dereference

Null pointer dereference in CODESYS communication servers allows remote authenticated users to crash the affected product. The CmpSettings handler dereferences a null pointer while processing a crafted CODESYS protocol communication request. The request is processed only after successful login or when online user management is inactive, and the documented consequence is a service crash.
