CVE-2022-22512Network attack vector

Administrative Web-UI access via hard-coded frontend credentials

Published Mar 23, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025

Hard-coded credentials in VARTA Storage energy-system Web-UIs allow remote attackers to gain administrative access over the network. The credentials are embedded in the frontend, where network clients can obtain and submit them to a backend that accepts them for privileged operations. Reachability of the Web-UI is the only reported gate; successful use permits unauthorized reading and writing of connectivity and grid parameters, affecting integrity and availability without access to safety-relevant settings.
