CVE-2022-22491

Pod restart via unrestricted local filesystem writes

Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Jan 9, 2025

Resource consumption in IBM App Connect Enterprise Certified Container 7.1 through 12.4 allows local users to restart a Pod. Affected operands running on Red Hat OpenShift impose no limit on writes to their local filesystem, allowing all storage available to the Pod to be consumed. Reaching the flaw requires local low-privileged access; exhaustion restarts only the affected Pod, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
