Data disclosure and memory exhaustion via XML imports
Published Aug 19, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
XXE in IBM MQ Explorer 8.0, 9.0 LTS, 9.1 LTS/CD, and 9.2 LTS/CD allows remote attackers to disclose data or exhaust memory. The import Wizard processes attacker-controlled XML without properly validating external entity references. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the bounded consequences are sensitive-information exposure and memory-resource consumption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
