CVE-2022-22476Network attack vector

Authenticated identity spoofing via crafted request

Published Jul 8, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Identity spoofing in IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty 17.0.0.3 through 22.0.0.7 allows remote authenticated users to assume another identity. A specially crafted request reaches the flaw when appSecurity-1.0, appSecurity-2.0, appSecurity-3.0, or appSecurity-4.0 is enabled, but IBM keeps the implementation details confidential. An existing account and network access are required, and IBM does not disclose which identity can be assumed or which protected actions become available.
