Missing HSTS in IBM Aspera Faspex 5.0.5 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to obtain sensitive information from web traffic. The Faspex web interface fails to enable the HTTP Strict Transport Security response policy, permitting browsers to use downgradeable HTTP connections. Exploitation requires a network position between a user and the server; the documented consequence is disclosure, not modification or interruption.
