Authenticated port-status disclosure via Admin Center requests
Published May 13, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Information disclosure in IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty 17.0.0.3 through 22.0.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to query port status. The adminCenter-1.0 feature accepts a request that returns the status of HTTP and HTTPS ports reachable by the application server; IBM has not disclosed the responsible handler or validation error. Exploitation requires the feature to be configured and valid credentials, and the published impact is limited to disclosure of port status.
