Authenticated file creation via improper validation
Published Jul 1, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Improper validation in IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.7 Pack for SAP Apps and BW Packs allows remote authenticated users to create directories and files containing non-sensitive debugging information through adjacent-network requests. The vulnerable server-side input handling accepts values that are not correctly constrained before filesystem operations, allowing attacker-supplied paths or names to produce artifacts and stack traces. Access requires low privileges from an adjacent network position, and the documented impact is limited confidentiality and integrity loss without service availability impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
