Inadequate encryption in IBM Spectrum Scale 5.1.0 through 5.1.3.0 allows remote attackers to decrypt highly sensitive information. IBM has not disclosed the cryptographic component, algorithm, key handling, or data path that provides less encryption strength than expected. Network access without authentication is sufficient, but exploitation requires high complexity and exposes confidentiality without reported data alteration or service interruption.
