External service interaction in IBM Cognos Controller 10.4.1, 10.4.2, and 11.0.0 allows remote attackers to issue server-side requests. The application fails to validate user-supplied domain names before using them for DNS lookups or HTTP requests. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the server can be induced to contact systems reachable from its network position.
