CVE-2022-22360Network attack vector

Unauthorized permission grants via LDAP injection

Published Jul 19, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

LDAP injection in IBM Sterling Partner Engagement Manager 6.1.2, 6.2, and Cloud/SaaS 22.2 allows remote authenticated users to grant unauthorized permissions. A specially crafted request passes attacker-controlled LDAP input into directory authorization evaluation, allowing injected filters to alter permission decisions. The attack requires a valid remote account and can expose resources or change access rights, while IBM reports no need for user interaction.
