Stored XSS via unsanitized ZenTao breadcrumb URL
Published Jul 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in GitLab EE 14.5 through 14.10.4, 15.0 through 15.0.3, and 15.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script. The ZenTao issue serializer copies an attacker-controlled URL from an API response into a breadcrumb link without rejecting the javascript scheme. Exploitation requires a self-hosted Premium instance without strict CSP, permission to configure the integration, and a victim who opens the issue page and clicks the link.
