CVE-2022-22349Network attack vector

Configuration integrity loss via unvalidated REST paths

Published Feb 24, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Path traversal in IBM Sterling External Authentication Server 3.4.3.2, 6.0.2.0, and 6.0.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter data. The REST API configuration-import path accepts invalid path data without adequately validating it before importing the configuration. An authorized account and network API access are required; IBM reports only integrity impact and does not disclose the affected file operations.
