CVE-2022-22330Network attack vector

Cookie disclosure via missing HttpOnly attribute

Published Sep 13, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information disclosure in IBM Control Desk 7.6.1 allows remote attackers to read a session cookie through a missing HttpOnly flag. The CometD server creates the session-lived BAYEUX_BROWSER cookie without the HttpOnly attribute, exposing its value to client-side script. The target must issue that cookie, and the reported consequence is limited to cookie-value disclosure rather than data modification or interruption.
