CVE-2022-22241Network attack vector

Unauthenticated deserialization enabling command execution

Published Oct 18, 2022 · Updated May 9, 2025

Improper input validation in Juniper Networks Junos OS J-Web before 22.1R2 allows remote attackers to access data via crafted POST requests. The J-Web handler deserializes attacker-controlled POST data without adequate validation, permitting unauthorized local file access and arbitrary command execution. No authentication is required, but exploitation depends on network access to an enabled J-Web service; Juniper reports no known malicious exploitation.
