CVE-2022-22203

Adjacent FPC reboot via hostbound packet comparison

Published Jul 20, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Incorrect comparison in the Junos OS PFE 19.4R3-S4 allows attackers to crash fxpc and reboot the FPC with a hostbound packet. Juniper identifies an incorrect comparison in packet-forwarding processing but does not disclose the compared values or packet field. An unauthenticated attacker must be on an adjacent network; repeated qualifying packets sustain the service interruption on QFX5000, EX4600, and EX4650 devices.
