Service-card crash via malformed SIP Contact header
Published Apr 14, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Denial of service in the Junos OS SIP ALG on affected MX and SRX releases allows remote attackers to crash service cards. A SIP message with a specific Contact header format causes the ALG to access an uninitialized pointer, crashing an MS-MPC, MS-MIC, or SPC. SIP ALG must be enabled, and continued receipt of the crafted packets sustains the service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
