Device hang via storm-triggered PFE heap overflow

Heap-based buffer overflow in the PFE of Juniper Networks Junos OS 20.2R1 allows remote attackers to hang affected switches via traffic floods. With storm-control profiling enabled, an active unknown broadcast, multicast, or unicast storm drives uncontrolled memory allocation until the PFE heap overflows. No authentication is required, and the resulting device hang interrupts packet forwarding on the specified QFX and EX series.
