DHCP service interruption via corrupted packet options

Improper DHCP option validation in affected Juniper Networks Junos OS releases allows physically proximate attackers to crash jdhcpd. When DHCP relay or local server is configured, jdhcpd corrupts its parsed options while processing a DHCPv4 packet containing specific options. The malformed packet requires adjacent network access and restarts the daemon, interrupting DHCP service without reported data disclosure or modification.
