Script replacement via unvalidated HTTPS certificates

Improper certificate validation in Juniper Networks Junos OS allows man-in-the-middle attackers to replace HTTPS-fetched system scripts. The system-script fetch path accepts an HTTPS server without validating its certificate, allowing an intercepted response to overwrite a local commit, event, extension-service, op, or SNMP script. An administrator with maintenance privilege must invoke the refresh operation, and the attacker must intercept that connection; substituted content compromises device integrity and confidentiality.
