Operational log corruption via unneutralized packet output
Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Log injection in CAMS for HIS Log Server in CENTUM CS 3000, CENTUM VP, and Exaopc allows adjacent attackers to corrupt logs. The server fails to neutralize malformed-packet data before producing log output, enabling invalid entries or arbitrary log-file creation and overwrite. Exploitation requires adjacent network reachability and user interaction; successful abuse can crash logging or impede later incident analysis.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
