CVE-2022-22148

System code execution via permissive named-pipe ACL

Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

OS command injection in Yokogawa CENTUM and Exaopc allows local users to execute programs with system privileges through Root Service. Root Service creates a named pipe whose ACL permits untrusted local processes to submit programs for privileged execution. Exploitation requires prior access to an affected Windows host and yields execution in the service process's system context.
