CVE-2022-22145

Service crash via malformed log-server packet

Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Uncontrolled resource consumption in CAMS for HIS Log Server allows context-dependent attackers to crash the service with a malformed packet. Yokogawa has not disclosed which packet field or resource-allocation operation lacks a limit; malformed-packet processing exhausts resources until the log server terminates. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access and user interaction, and the CVE-specific consequence is a service crash rather than the other log-file impacts grouped in the advisory.
