CVE-2022-22125Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unsanitized article tags

Published Jan 13, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Stored XSS in article tags in Halo 1.0.0 through 1.4.17 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in a viewer's browser. The article-tag save path in PostServiceImpl accepts administrator-supplied tag content without neutralizing script markup before rendering. Administrator access is required to plant the payload, and a victim must view the affected article; the resulting script runs in the victim's browser.
