Spreadsheet formula execution via unsanitized CSV export
Published Jan 10, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
CSV injection in NocoDB 0.81.0 through 0.83.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute spreadsheet formulas through exported table data. BaseModelSql passes row values to Papa Parse without enabling formula escaping, leaving formula-prefixed cells executable in the generated CSV. Exploitation requires table-creation privileges and an administrator to export and open the file in a formula-interpreting spreadsheet application.
