Authenticated code execution via unchecked image upload
Published Jun 27, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in SourceCodester Library Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The /card/index.php handler uses the image part's supplied basename to write content beneath assets/uploads without rejecting a .php extension. A valid session is required, and requesting the resulting web-accessible file executes the uploaded script with the web server's privileges.
