Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon Auto SA8540P and SA9000P allows local users to compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The automotive multimedia component applies an improper length check during a data-copy operation, allowing an integer overflow to produce a buffer overflow and corrupt memory. No privileges or user interaction are required, but execution must occur locally on an affected automotive platform; Qualcomm has not disclosed the input path or resulting execution behavior.
