Memory corruption via improperly validated multimedia array index
Published Sep 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon Auto SA8540P and SA9000P allows local users to compromise the multimedia process. The multimedia component uses an array index without validating that it identifies a valid array position, causing out-of-bounds memory access. Successful exploitation requires local access but no privileges or user interaction and results in loss of data confidentiality and integrity or a service interruption.
