Memory corruption via unchecked backspace cursor position

Heap buffer overflow in Vim before 8.2.5162 allows context-dependent attackers to crash the editor through crafted Replace-mode input. The ins_bs function reads the byte before the cursor while processing Backspace in Replace mode without first ensuring that the cursor column is greater than zero. Exploitation requires user interaction with the triggering edit state; the bounded consequences are memory corruption, process termination, and code execution.
