Reachable assertion in Qualcomm modem firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a malformed Reconfiguration message. The modem's Reconfiguration-message processing path improperly validates network input before reaching an assertion. The unauthenticated network path requires no user action; successful triggering terminates modem processing and affects availability only.
