CVE-2022-22059

Memory corruption via unchecked video array index

Published Sep 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in affected Qualcomm Snapdragon video components allows local users to corrupt memory with a crafted video file. The closed-source video component fails to validate an array index before reading from memory while it parses attacker-controlled video data. Local delivery of a crafted video is required; Qualcomm has not disclosed the parser function or a more specific consequence beyond memory corruption.
