CVE-2022-22008

Code execution across boundary via race condition

Published Apr 15, 2022 · Updated Jan 2, 2025

Race condition in Hyper-V on affected Microsoft Windows releases allows local users to execute code across a security boundary. Microsoft discloses only that exploitation requires winning a race condition and does not identify the affected Hyper-V function, resource, or unsafe concurrent operation. Successful exploitation requires low privileges and high-complexity timing, and it crosses a security boundary with code-execution impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
