CVE-2022-21936Network attack vector

Authenticated validated-action execution via password revalidation bypass

Published Oct 7, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Improper authentication in Johnson Controls Metasys ADX Server 12.0 with MVE allows remote authenticated users to execute validated actions. The MVE SMP UI accepts an Active Directory user's validated-action request without successfully revalidating the supplied password. An existing Active Directory session is required; the bypass removes the separate password check intended to authorize operational changes.
