Local denial of service via EFI file access

Improper authorization in the Windows kernel of affected Microsoft Windows releases allows local users to interrupt system availability. The kernel applies incorrect authorization logic when low-privileged code accesses files on the EFI partition, enabling denial of service. Exploitation requires prior local low-privileged code execution; published sources disclose no data access, modification, or privilege gain.
