CVE-2022-2188

Service interruption via weak log-directory permissions

Published Nov 7, 2022 · Updated May 8, 2025

Improper permissions in Trellix Data Exchange Layer Broker before 6.0.0.280 allow local users to interrupt its service on Windows. The Windows broker applies weak access controls to its logs directory, allowing a low-privileged account to manipulate that critical resource. Exploitation requires local access to an affected Windows host; published CVSS impacts are limited to availability, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
