Authenticated code execution via cleartext package download
Published Jun 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cleartext package retrieval in Concrete CMS 8.5.7 and earlier and 9.0.0 through 9.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The archive download path uses the nonsecure concrete transport selector instead of concrete_secure, allowing ZIP contents to cross HTTP without integrity protection before execution. Administrative package-management access and control of the cleartext network path are required; successful archive replacement executes attacker-controlled code on the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=Remediated in Concrete CMS 8.5.8 and 9.1.0. Affected Versions are Concrete 8.5.7 and below as well as Concrete 9.0 through 9.0.2
