CVE-2022-21821

Code execution via cuobjdump integer overflow

Published Mar 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Integer overflow in NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit before 11.6 Update 2 allows remote attackers to execute code through a malformed binary. The cuobjdump utility performs overflow-prone integer processing while parsing the binary, but NVIDIA has not disclosed the affected calculation. Exploitation requires a local user to download the file and run cuobjdump against it, after which attacker-controlled code executes in that user’s context.
